Never Give Up
Life is what we make it, and this I know holds true
We strive to reach our many goals , yet only reach a few
Though we cannot have it all , nor taste all of lifes treasures
Doesn't mean we should give up , nor alter our endeavors
Some become like statues , let life just pass them by
They blame their fate on destiny , they never even try
Life may deal some cards to us , that are hard to play
We might not have the ace of hearts, much to our dismay
Yet giving up and letting go , of the options life supplies
Is like staying on a sinking ship , when another passes by
We can't control the outcome, of the choices that we make
But we have more direction , by the chances that we take
Yes life is what we make it , we have tremendous power
The choice to drift as helpless buoys, or command the lighthouse tower.
