discontent

tonight the sand lays quiet
with whispers of salty sea splash
tearing gentle dunes

memory of winter enfolds itself
with ice hidden beneath the tiny grains
moisture collecting itself

could you fall into the sea tonight
and take yourself upon a wave
would you wash upon my shore?

let me stumble upon you at happenstance
with memory mingled

let your ice melt in my sand
while distant thought feels
yet to be replayed
