Reflected
Perhaps, I was wrong, and you were nothing more than a dream
A sweet apparition, that went gently into that good night
You were such a lost soul, with a wild look, in your eyes
A temporary angel, with devilish tendencies
When the fog in my life lifted, there you were
The ray of sun, that peirced the clouds
And in that kiss, was my heart, and my soul
I saw myself reflected in your eyes, but not how I see me
But, how you see me...
And I loved you more, with each word, each touch
Even if you were just an apparition, I am glad you were in my life
For I believe you just might have saved me, when nobody else could
Though, I don't think I ever told you, you were my knight in shining armor
Now, the armor's rusted, but I still can remember how it used to shine
And how you taught me to see differently, though you did not realize it
Even if you were, just a passing apparition, I loved you
I hope that you know that, wherever you are
I love the man that you are, not the one you sometimes pretended to be
Oh, yes, I do love you...and I do miss you
For you touched my life, in many ways, some good, and some bad
So, thank you, for all that you have given to me
