The Sea
I wandered to the sea, hoping to find some comfort there
I got lost, for a time, in the hypnotic waves, crashing on the sand
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
For a time, I lived a dream, with every waking moment, bliss
But, then it was gone, and I was left behind
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
Feeling stirred inside of me, that I could not fight
I could hear the sound of a thousand voices, telling me which way to go
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
That night, the lightning flashed, and the angry rain soaked the sand
I stood in the middle of the storm
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
Your voice betrayed you, I knew something was wrong
But, you turned your face from me, you could not speak
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
Oh, I grew to love you, and how I loved you!
But, you stole away, on a grey-sky morning
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
The chance just passed you by
But, do not fear, the next one's not far behind
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
I was so scared, and so in love
I was so lost in everything that you are
I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
Oh, how I was drawn to you, my love
And I would sink into the teal/blue depths of your never-ending eyes
A person could get lost, in the ocean that you are
Yes, I was drawn to the rhythm of the sea...
