Seasons
Seasons
Every winter, I do quiver.
And though the world outside is warm,
Touching tickles and I shiver.
It's been this way since I've been born.
Now springtime air is soon arriving,
Don't get me wrong I love its sound
Of Robin's chirp and Blue Jay's jiving.
But my sweetest song has yet been found.
Summer sweat gives way to hiding,
My love's affection has yet been 'round.
Raindrops fall and I'm not lying.
Clouds give way but I go down.
Darkness does often deliver,
When inward eyes one does adorn.
And the days grow ever shorter,
As my sweet dreams fall with the acorn.
