Seeking Answers

What is love? 
This simple, four letter word
can mean so much.

But how do we know if it's true?
How do we know if it's real?

A word is so easy to say.
If repeated too much,
can it lose it's meaning?

Why must it be so complicated?
Love should be simple, easy, graceful.
It should drop into out laps directly from the heavens.

But that's not how it works.
Love takes time
            commitment
             cooperation
              struggles
               ups
                downs
                 highs
                  lows
                   respect 
                    honesty.

Love is not easy...
But when it is true
And when it is real
