The Simple Art of Kissing

Back stroke in warm molasses
a kiss given slowly
with exquisite attention to detail.
You took my lips in languid regard,
a tiny bit at a time
until i was drugged beyond opium
beyond the melted carmel
of the sweet warm touch
of lip to lip.
There can be more---
but right now all I care for
is floating in warm brown sugar
and marveling that a kiss
can be so much more
than an appetizer to the flesh.
Another, please...
and don't go light on the languid.
