Piece of My Soul
I tried so hard because I cared.
Not because I was in love.
I didn't want to see you fail,
I never want your dreams to stale.
I still care, but I cannot fight.
You are too stuborn to see,
all I wanted was to help you.
But you didn't notice, you were too busy trying to help me.
Your fears are all you know.
All you hide, all you run from.
You're losing all you need,
because you're so afraid you won't succeed.
Listen my friend.
You've been through a lot.
But you're not the first to ever suffer.
And what doesn't kill us only makes us tougher.
So I've give you a piece of my soul,
and I can't ever get that back.
My heart will mend and my soul will grow.
And in the end for it all I'll havve something to show.
So don't hide in the shadows of forgotten fame.
So give up, try just a little harder.
Quit blaming others for the past you've had.
And set a future away from all the bad.
