Uncertainty in Blue
Is it still love if you aren't sure?
I want to scream this question
at elderly couples in supermarkets
at young mothers with babies in strollers
at birds and bees and even those characters from Temptation Island.
Because one day you will make me smile with a Hallmark card
covered in your most sincere blue felt scrawl.
Then the next day you will make me cry
till my tears leave yesterday's words smeared and illegible.
