unreasonable demands just make it more fun.
Will things always be this good for us?
Touching on subjects that could be bitter wars
we laugh and weave our way around the topic
until finally we find the thread that suits us both comfortably.
You warn me that you'll never let me cut my hair,
and I laugh back " I think you are being just a little unreasonable"
and still giggling, find equally unreasonable demands of my own.
In 40 years, we'll be all grey hair and wrinkles,
a stubborn old man, and his bride,
bun fastened on my head, and twinkle in my eye,
tapping your butt with my walking stick
as I try to keep you in line.
