The Worst Is Over
And hope follows, with fragile steps
Creeping quietly behind devastation
I smile...you smile
For the worst is truly over
And the best has yet to come
But, guareented, it comes, soft and sweet
Sometime; hereafter...
The clouds of grey have fled, defeated
And the rain has ceased to fall
For, once again, the story has changed, although the scenery's not new
But, my friend, the worst is over
So, we truly have nothing to fear
For, in the face of adversity, we have shown true courage
We did not deny that our fear exists
But, consented to it's existance
And, by that recognition, the obstacle has been overcome
There is hope, and I see that you see it
Residing where you least expect it
So, you smile a smile
And I grin a grin
For the worst is over
And the best has yet to come
