Can't Let Go

When you fall in love with someone
and then have them drift away
what else is there to do?

Every song I hear
rips at my heart
especially the ones
that have memories attached

Three months may not seem that long
but when they were full of happiness
they will always be remembered
like movies replaying everyday

I'm going through the motions of
my regular "normal" life
but my thoughts are always centered
around my soul mate

Just when I think everything is going fine
my heart takes over again
and I know that there's still
something missing

Maybe that spot will never be filled
Or maybe I just need to have patience
All I know is that I want to feel whole...

I need to be complete.
