The magnetic
Hypnotic
Energetic
Psychotic
Force that brought me to you
Has made my world the 
Antithesis to what it used to be
Before you……

It was vacant and solid.
Where there was once an ache 
Now grows a life that sprung from 
your energy in mine

my hands 
though every bone is in tact
and every inch is unscratched
are incomplete without yours
wrapped around them

my eyes
though with each lash in position
and without obstruction to my vision
are wondering without yours
to stare into.

I could go on and on
But I won’t because the little one 
Is alone and scared.
I’ll tell her
“don’t be scared.  There are those who love you,
and who have, long before your physical existence 
on this planet.  You will find them all eventually
and the world will be all the more kind 
with every day you know them.”
Or maybe I’ll just say 
"it’s ok sweetie go back to sleep”
because it would be unfair of me to sum it up in
one breath.
