Mid- Air Waiting to Land
So where are we now?
You know how it feels
when the plane suddenly
slows down mid-air,
as though you're going
twenty miles an hour,
there’s nothing you can do
but endure it, yet
there’s that eagerness to
get out of the sky,
to be grounded and safe,
thrilled to be free and whole.
Yet, all you can do is wait,
till it's your turn,
wait for signs, safety,
the right weather,
wait for clear vision,
pray for safe landing.
