So Long Ago

So long ago you made
a promise to love me
no matter what.  But in
the same instant you
made that choice you
took bad your word
to follow the others.
The ones who were all
to blind the see the
truth, too scared to
believe it, you ran
from me. All the promises
you made, all the
trust I put in you...
gone...lost in your
struggle to belong.
So long ago I wrote
and asked how you
were, you told me
never to write again...
unless I'm willing to
admit my wrong.  As
hard as it was to not
start typing to my
defense I changed my
e-mail and never checked
it again.  Because I
know what happened to
me, I know the truth
and if you're going
to fall victim to all
the roomers than I'm
better off without you.
