Sorry, not today II

I've been trying to write a poem
that is sappy and mushy
and
not
at
all restrained.
I could write about chocolate covered cherries
or strawberries,
(champagne drenched,
of course)
belly-button & chocolate sauce pools
and nipples, marshmallow crested,
or a poem about,
super sweet romantic temptations,
picnics in fields of wild flowers
and running
hand in hand
in the rain,
of 'I love you forevers'
and whispers in the dark,
of waves crashing on the beach
(sea soaked legs tangled
in 'from here to eternity' style.)
I could write about how blue your eyes blaze, but -
maybe its the Brit in me,
cause all I can think of,
is the way your weeeezie laugh makes me giggle,
and the way you smile that crooked smile
(when your kisses turn urgent)
Sweetheart,
Handsome lover of mine, I love you
and I often think of you with passion
but mills'n'boons-sugar-coated-poetry
just doesn't flow from my
fingertips.
Its just not my style.
sorry,
not today.
