Dream or Utopia
Dream or Utopia
I dream of a place,
where everybody has a friendly face.
I dream of a land,
where everybody lends a helping hand.
I dream of an earth,
where everybody is as pure as a baby at birth.
I dream of a planet,
where nobody ever has to use the word damn-it.
I dream of a sphere,
where nobody lives in fear.
I dream of a world,
where nobodys fists become curled.
I dream of an expanse,
where everybody gives a love-filled glance.
I dream of a here-to-be,
where everybody hugs a tree.
I dream of a globe,
where nobody cares about the texture of anothers robe.
I dream of a dimension,
with non-judgemental free-expression.
I dream of a realm,
where there is no authorative helm.
I dream of a reality,
where money isn't the commonality.
I dream of a society,
where there is no idealistic propriety.
I could let my dreams drift and sift,
until the tides cease to rift and lift.
But I will ground my dreams,
to thoughts with more down to earth themes.
If these dreams are not just foolish fantasies of mine,
and everybody else universally agrees that they are prime.
Then why do we live in such a paradox?
It seems as though we chain ourselves down with locks.
How could we clasp ourselves so tightly from the truth,
when all we have to do is open our hearts to unlock the proof.
So, if we can free our minds and slip out of the chains,
we could awake to a utopia where it never rains.
