Why I Love Her
Why I Still Love Her by Jim Carroll
Because of her beauty because of her grace,
Because of the look of disgust on her face,
Because of the way she makes me upset,
Because she fills my days with regret,
Because she can laugh when I can just cry,
Because if I didn,t I'm sure I would die,
Because when she loved me it was that like no other,
Because she is my little boys mother,
She constantly steps over the line,
She enjoys I beleive hearing me whine,
She can put any other woman to shame,
She can drive me nuts completely insane,
She's quite a woman this Hailey of mine,
She knows how to bring me home with the sign,
She don't love me she tells me so,
She loves me because she won't let me go,
Is why I love her fair to ask,
Is love merely an unthankful task,
Is it enough to move heaven and earth,
Is there money enough to pay loves worth,
Is there nothing that I would not do,
Is it not enough that I have remained true,
Is the reason you say nothing when I tell you true,
Is it because I am getting to you,
An honest question pleaseanswer the same,
An understanding to the rules of the game,
An hour of need I look for you,
An aching inside as I kneel before you,
An omen from heaven as I feel your touch,
An intimate second I miss you so much,
An eerie dream you were still mine,
An awful awakening to leave me cryin'
Angel my darling you took me to heaven,
Angel my dear you sent me to hell then,
Angel my sweet forgive me my wrongs,
Angel my love help me to be strong,
Angel my angel my love one and only,
Angel my girl don't leave me lonely,
Angel my kitten it is only for you,
Angel oh angel god how I love you.
