When the battles' lost and won
When all is said, but nothing done
When time is stopped and still
When the empty hourglass is fill
When the day moves on, then I will
The caged are free, yet forever bound
The sky hath blended with the ground
Angels sow, but devils reap
I lie awake, but forever sleep
Shadows are the company I keep
Rainbows colored all in grey
It seems change is here to stay
Daydreams grasped in nightmares' hold
The warmth from this bed is oh-so-cold
The lies scream loudly, truth be told
Seeking what was left behind
Chasing the past, I cannot find
The burden heavy, feather light
The time is day, but clouded in night
I am blind, yet have sight
Letting go, of what was never mine
By these tears, I measure time
Fell in love, with love true
Gave the Devil all his due
This is done, but not through
When the shore rushs to tide
And the hidden, cease to hide
When angels corrupt and the Devil cries
When the stars leave the skies
