Alien Love Abduction

I may be working silently
With only tints of songs to wave the room
Peaceful here engulfed within my world
Thinking of our love and how secure...content.

And then comes the abduction
There you poof into my view...A sighting
So severe...out of time and out of place
To see you pop into your little space
No speak or chat you flicker gone again
That I react as though I’ve seen an alien!

For foreign, gosh, it is to me
That you would there appear so out of sync
When all the while you made me think
That you were sound asleep

Spacey thoughts begin to heave my head
As though I’m spread upon a martian bed
Taken aboard and all explored
It’s then I doubt what’s happening between
What is this all about...what have I really seen?

It’s at these times, Oh man!
That you become an alien
And I, like hot pursued by something outer space
Am most compelled to scream and run away

But then "I talk to me" with words unknown
Like love and patience, life and home
Sorta implanted alien brainy play
And then I find you here to do another day
So I guess I must’ve been abducted, yep
Or something awfully close...I’d say!
