Don't Bother
It never fails,
I have hope
and it's people like you
that destroy it.
I give
my all,
live in the moment,
be spontaneous,
and you don't even notice.
I don't need lies,
or silly excuses,
just the blunt
simple truth.
Save me,
before I'm in
too deep.
Do you think
you're the only one
to ever suffer
form a broken heart?
I promise you
you're not.
You say you don't
let the past influence
your future,
well then what are
you so afraid of?
You don't have
to love me,
but at least care.
I just can't do
this anymore.
I can't lie to myself,
bottle all the feelings
I have.
I'm not scared anymore,
and you can't
tell me anything
that I haven't heard before.
So don't say you'll
call when you have no
intentions of doing so.
Don't say you care,
when it's obvious
you don't.
Don't say
you have feelings
when I know you don't.
Don't bother responding,
I don't want to hear it.
