Just hearing your voice
When I hear your voice
you make me smile.
I sit and concentrate
on every word you say.
You brighten my world
for just a little while.
When everything was so
gray, here you are to
add a little color to
my beaten mind.
When we leave each other
I walk away happier
than when I came.
For the rest of the day
I am a little lighter
because I carry you with me.
I long for the next time I
will hear your charming words
or see your loving face again.
