Your Face Always

Your face is all that I see
With a smiling grin and a warm embrace
Why can't I see that you are you
And that one day you'll be true

Your face is as warm as the sea
With the salt that stings like a bee
An open wound that will never heal
Why is it always in making a deal

My heart is not well my love
Keep it on your shelf
In hope that one day things will prevail
One day to happen, but never to be real

I'm flying free and so shall we
Once is over the land and now to the sea
Remember the words that you spoke unto me
Where is the truth that lies in thee

I see a face that will always be
But as I think, it fades into history
