An Ordinary Plateful
Laid before us is bliss
All there for the taking
A feast for the eyes
Then the mouth
Nourishment, fufilment
Ours, tabled before us
Why is it that this feast
Manages to fill us to discomfort
How do we come to ache in our bellies
From over indulgence
When all we really needed was
An ordinary plateful?
