truely living

I always thought 'being together' was the key,
and that the most important thing was to have warm body in my bed,
And you know whats interesting, and kind of special about us
is that we've each survived a warm body in the other's bed.
we've survived distance, and closeness, and surpassed dreams,
and expectations we didn't know we had.
And I always thought that because we couldn't make a way to be together
that meant we didn't love enough.
But now I see, from eight days of being just far enough away, to not be there
that being in your heart is what is really important.
We never had 'long distance sex'... not to say we didn't want each other.
But now I've been in your bed, and slept in your arms
and shared with you moments in which words did not exsist.
And the thought of you, and the thought of us
can not be described in terms of together and apart -
because we are truely,
living
in each others hearts.
