Ocean of Love

The waters wide are vast and broad, stretching endlessly beyond horizons known;
While surface ships ply many miles, over the ocean's spacious seas.
But this watery breadth, such a grand expanse, is only superficial skin.

                         A few prefer
                         To plunge the depths,
                         And seek the wonders
                         Of the deep.

                         They long to go
                         Where few have gone,
                         Exploring the vastness
                         Of the deep.

                         They dive down
                         Toward the greater realm,
                         Penetrating the ecstacy
                         Of the deep

                         For them, profound pleasure lies
                         In the intimate depths
Where secrets of the heart are shared.

                         Surface beauty
                         May be a glorious treat
                         But treasures await
                         Within the deep.

Deep within the heart's true beat
Deep within the mind's pure seat
Deep within the body's passionate heat
                         Deep where two souls
                         Become one, complete...

Here, my lover and I shall meet
                         And with arms embraced
                         Fall gently asleep.
