dolphins don't make me cry
oh, you hear Hootie sing about them and you see
various artists' renderings of those overrated
Walt Disney puppets of the deep
but for me they are nothing more than late night snacks
I don't admire envy or even like dolphins
in fact, I hate them
they give me indigestion
once I knew a mermaid named Coral Sue
she was cute, had long blood red hair and aquamarine eyes
and she liked to swim beside me singing songs only I could hear
but then her pet dolphin, Blueby, blew the deal
I didn't even get a chance to score
Blueby died
because I ate him
and this changed her heart forevermore.
now I whore around the ocean
looking for Love Potion #9
maybe Cupid will bring it tomorrow
in an early Valentine.
