Foolish
When I'm around you
I try to be cool,
But when it comes to love
I'm just a fool.
How could I be so foolish
To think you love me;
I stay awake at night
To think of things that could be.
How could I be so foolish
To let you in my heart;
When I honestly know
I can only do my part?
Why am I such a fool
When it comes to love?
I guess I should wait
For that angel from above.
But why won't you do your part?
Why won't you let me in your heart?
I need you more and more
Please heal this heart to the core.
How could I?
Oh how could I be so foolish?
I don't know.
I guess I'll have to let you go.
But I still love you to this day,
And as I kneel,
To the lord I pray;
That he will mend my broken heart,
And help you to do your part.
I pray that we will be together
Togetherness is happiness,
