Forgive Me
FORGIVE ME
Forgive me for my pitter pat, and prose
Outlet for my hearts melody
Releasing the waves of my soul
Seams bursting from the strain of passion
As the waters of feelings build
Words act as a pin hole for the longings
Phrases slowly seep through my pen
Flowing in a never ending mirage
Against the desert of reality
A reedy pool of delectable thoughts
Bathe the parched sand
Quenching the thirst of the writer
And those with a dry tongue of desire
Savoring the satisfying wetness
Mutual benefit for he who pours the drink
And those who lap up the milk of contentment
As I paint pictures that only the mind can see
Scenes that can only be felt with the fingers of your heart
