A Glimmer
Looking off, into the distance
With eyes that see as a child would
I see a faint spark, a light
Like that of a fairy, flittering about, after dusk
But, this time, it is not a fairy
It is hope, it is the glimmer of possibility
And it is shining bright
Shades of cherry red
Mixed with light blue
And a touch of lavender, thrown in
Just for good measure...
Hovering, on the horizen
Is a prayer, answered
A dream on the verge of coming true
And my breath catches in my throat
As the truth speaks, with voice soft
And the lies fade away, back to darkness
And the beginning is here
Not completely unlike the one preceeding it
But, I find that this beginning is pure
Where the other one, was tainted...
