The wish that you would someday
Put your arms around me and kiss me gently
Make me laugh and and make me smile
Hold me all nite through
Guess what...My wish came true
Tell me I’m dreaming
And I will stay asleep forever
Tell me I’m wishing
And I will keep that same wish forever
Tell me that this is real
And I will never let go
Never did I expect something like this
Not from you
Not from us
You came into my life and swept me off of my feet
And for the first time in a long time
I let myself fly
Sometimes my cheeks hurt because you make me laugh
I’ll never complain though
Sometimes I think that the day won’t pass fast enough
But I’ll never argue
Reason being? It’s more time spent with you.
