Special Memories!
I think back,to that first day.
I walked into that D.Q.
I walked right into your arms,
Got the most wonderful kiss.
Going to do the laundry,
Making fun of the woman
with the hair like a poodle.
Kissing on the spin cycle.
Our little drive to Nashville Park.
Talking about days gone by,
Loves we lost and special people.
Looking at the stars, you naming them.
You left me, not so special.
Then I came to you.
Seeing you at that truck stop,
I couldn't reach you fast enough.
The wonderful braclet you gave me.
You had worn it since you bought it.
The feel of your arms,
The touch of your lips.
Going to your apartment,
Making love like there is no tomorrow.
Laying next to you every night.
Talking about our future together.
Walking in the park, holding hands.
Sitting next to you watching T.V.
Sitting in bed reading,
while you played you played your game.
Even going to the Mall,
Meeting your friends.
Going to the auction,Watching people.
Buying that pretty sweater.
That silly hand held game,
You carried around,
Like a good luck charm.
We make our own luck, you know.
Getting that job,
Then finding out,
that you would be working there.
Seeing you everyday.
Waking every morning to find you there,
Getting ready to leave each morning,
Kissing you goodbye,
and you saying "you prety"
Our walk at Kings Mountain,
The lunch we shared after.
Then sharing the rest with
the ground squirrels and birds.
You naming the birds as they land.
Laughing at them at play,
The cat that ran away.
The family walking there.
Just 3 short months, that felt like forever,
When I thought you really did care.
These are my special memories.
I thank GOD you can't take them away.
