My Mermaid
MY MERMAID
As dolphins dance thru foamy sea
I spy my mermaid who waits for me
No voice has she to call my name
And yet I know, to me she came
Upon the waves of destiny
To frolick in the waves with me
Her emerald eyes tell tales so great
Of sailors lost and woes of fate
At ease while floating among the waves
She hides inside the water caves.
Appearing at once , in sparkling view
Then disappear , beneath the blue
The fish will swim right by her side
Thru stormy seas as friends do glide.
They look for her, when she's away
To join her on a brighter day
At times forgetting , a fish is she
Allowing herself, to frolick free
Alas the water beckons home
As she returns to the aqua foam
She can be mine for just a day
Until the brine calls her away
