Moon Sickness
You ignore her, letting her think you are
so cool, wanting her to beg and howl at
your feet, knowing that she will at times,
depending on degree of the moons push and
pull against the tide of her mind's strength.
Sometimes waiting, hearing that yearning
in your voice, the yin and yang pushing
back and forth between you, giving neither
the edge, creating this sticky glue, this
magnetic force, that traverses the world.
With you at the other end of it, she comes
in the night, searching, finding you in dreams,
taking you, where together, you dance, kiss,
melt, into pools of vanilla chocolate ecstasy.
