My Friend that is Lost
I never thought I would see it
To be truthful I didn't actually want to see anything
But there you were right in the open
With her, not caring who saw you together
I apologize for starring
But she isn't quite what I had expected
Maybe I am wrong to say this, but I think you deserved better
Or at least you did...before
How can you be happy with her
When you know that she isn't yours
Maybe you don't notice, but I see it clearly
Your women has another mans ring on her finger
Maybe this doesn't bother you
But I can't see how it wouldn't
The old man I knew looked down on that sort of thing
Obviously this new man doesn't mind it
You have changed so much
In a matter of a weekend, you have morphed into someone else
Who are you
What are you
You can't possibly be my old friend
The one that was honest, straight forward
If you were the same person as before
Then why do you not even resemble him
If you see my friend someday
If he appears somewhere down deep inside your soul
Will you tell him that I am praying for him
And that I miss him, and would like him back
