My rose
Today at school
they were selling flowers for V-day
I walked by and saw the flowers and cards
And I rememerd last year again
I orderd roses for my friends
And for him
I went by his house and gave him the rose
Said "happy V-day" and kissed his forehead
A smile on my face
He looked surprised
And if I'm not mistaken
I thought I saw a little twinkle in his eyes
And he smelled the rose and said "it's real"
I didn't want and expect any gift
And I didn't get anything
But he could have stayed around or pulled me close or SOMETHING
Because he just sat there
put the rose on the table
And all of a sudden he left
But then he did something That still makes me smile
He put the rose in a vase with water on his desk in his room
And when it started to die
He dried it and hung it on his wall
It's still there after all this time
After a year
Even though he took the card of
And he said he had gotten it from an other ex when someone asked who it's from
I'm gratefull he didn't throw it away
