Through The Wall
THROUGH THE WALL
Through the wall Across the hall
Curled up so delicate,so small
Babe Rainbow lay abed,asleep
Thoughts of her go burning deep
I lay here in the predawn light
Sounds of cars pass in wintry night
Tossing and turning 'mongst twisted covers
I dream of us Two distant lovers
I dream of future and dark dark past
How long must this lonely eve last
Then In the distance I dream I hear her call
Through the wall Across the hall
From bonds of darkness I may break free
Babe Rainbow gives herself to me
I know all gloom and despair
Fade with morn's light when she is there
I know peace will come when asleep I fall
Through the wall Across the hall
