smiled.

it's been embraced.
Funny how words can cut so deep-
past the "love" you thought
was true
through the binds you thought
were tied.
You can't turn back time,
but you can turn your back
on me-
time and time
again.
I thought forever was in those
arms,
but I came to find
my forever still can't be found.
Heaven was in your kiss,
but I'd rather be in hell
than be touched by the lies that
come from that same mouth.
My hands were never strong,
but I would have made them
bruised
