Prescription, Valentine

The day dawns upon us with its vast accuracy
And swiftly it begins
Softly filling in
The cracks
Between the mountains
Pavement
And me...

I touched the penny well water
Splashed to feel the cool
Her eyes upon the droplets of
Sweat and copper stained water
As they ran from my skin
Back to the pool

Teeth shine through gently just
Taking time enough to recognize
The tiny, smile wrinkles on your face
As we lock together tightly
And feeling small explosions
We kiss, in our loving embrace

Sweet, sweet desires all in this kiss
We kiss, to join the parade
You grab my hand and walk along
This, on our Valentine's Day...
