Quilt Dream Desires
Seeing your smile from a photograph,
feeling your warmth and contagious
charm fills my heart, making me laugh,
and smile back, in wonder of you.
Wanting more of your impish antics, more
trivia, remembering our youth. Feeling
you so close, we wrap ourselves around
one another with words, never wanting
to let go. I ache for you, wishing I could
be there to hold you, take care of you.
Just lie back Darlin, feel this kiss as you read
these words. It’s as real as any that I could
give you. Feel my arms hold you near as
breath. Close your eyes and dream of what
we’ll do under all those beautiful quilts, in
making them all ours. There are not enough
stars in the sky, to cover my quilt dream
desires or what is yet to be, as this earthly
love of ours, fights for it's chance to be known
