Rush

When I see her each morning my head begins to spin
My mind screams out in pain as she walks by
As I walk past her on the sidewalk I cant tear my eyes away
Her very presence makes me feel unsure of myself
Then I speak to her, nothing at all important
I just say a word to her, and she smiles
My mind reels, I can say nothing
Then something clicks

This is love I feel

I must keep it sacred to me
I will never forget her smile, her amazing laugh
When she looks at me I feel so alone, no one else is near
The room just empties out and it’s just us
No homework, no obligations, no chores
A momentary look, then her eyes move away
The room is awake again and everyone is talking once more
But that look still lingers in the air
Until the end of love, that look will still be there
