Heart On A Sleeve
I wear my heart out on a sleeve for you,
Maybe that’s why I only wear long shirts.
You knock at my door
dripping wet,
but it’s not even raining.
There is always a cup of coffee for you at my table.
You prefer tea.
We take strolls in the park at midnight.
Your head is always up high,
trying to touch a star.
That face of yours is forever deeply dug in a book,
Mine in front of a mirror.
Crystalline cups when I look through,
Create a kaleidoscope of colors that touch your face.
Smiles of yours haunt me through the day,
pictures of you run around my mind constantly.
It’s alright,
you’re not really photogenic.
I can wait for the original.
Let me walk you out the door.
A kiss?
Yes please.
