Abounding Love
I see your face tonight
a tattered piece of flesh
eaten by the guilt sustained
in your bleeding heart
My child, when will you heed my words?
I've carried this worlds sin...
Do you not think I can carry your concerns?
I took upon myself the wrath of God...
Do you not think I could handle your worries?
I have willingly been beaten
that you may live scar free
Twas not your fault she had slipped away
She had chosen her path
And now reaps what she sows
Do not believe for one instant
That I had left her side
knowing full well the consequences
she would soon face
But let my glory be known
through the shining face of a toddler
my abounding love is still close
And it is that, that you must show unto her
Please rely on me
For the grim reality awaits
those who do not recognize my everlasting love
