Where I Am

I was at this place a while back,
Feeling strong,
Knowing who I was,
What I wanted,
And what I didn't want,

Then I was in a new place,
Thrilling and exotic,
Happy and carefree,

But this new place began to change,
Dragging me down,

And one day I suddenly realized,
I wasn't ME anymore,
I missed that old place,
I needed to go back,

So here I am, 
Back where I started,
Feeling strong,
Knowing who I am,
What I want,
And what I don't want,

And this time,
I'm not going to leave!
