Believe

I call to thee, from mountain high
Looking down in the valley
A valley clouded by an early morning mist
I call to thee, with the voice of the Goddess
Though, I am not she
I am but a face, a mere representation
Of her, on this earth
I call to thee, and sing to thee, a hymn
And my words tumble forth, soft
But, echo loud, and I see you hear me
Know that I have come to ease your pain, my child
I have come to quench your worry
And you see me, and know that I am young
But, forever ageless
With a timeless, yet ancient grace
I can harm, I can hurt, doubt that not
Yet, I choose to heal
But, before I can heal, you must believe
You must believe with all your being
And you must speak those words aloud
You must believe in me...
For only when those words are spoken, can I lend my grace
Only then may I comfort thee, and shelter thee...
Today, I am half-forgotten
I am not seen or heard, so much, as in the days gone by
But, I still am here, existing
Though not all acknowledge me, as the whole world once did
To those who seek my aid, all they must do is call my name
And I am there...
You have not called aloud, my name
But, inside, you scream it with all of your being
With every fiber of who you are
By that virtue, can you see me
But, now, now you must put your faith in me
Now, you must believe in me...
