Good Morning Love
Morning sun, and morning shine
catch the heart that's morning mine,
chase the stars,
they've had their chance
and done their tiny starspun dance.
Time for light,
and time for day
time to take my breath away.
Wake you up, my darling man,
and catch me close and near
I would whisper you a dream
that's barely left me here.
And wrap you lightly in this day,
that's glowing new and warm
to ward you when the sun will wane
and keep you safe from harm.
Dance with me,
my heart's own ease,
and help me greet the sun,
feel the warm and gentle tease
when dappled breeze will come.
Rhodadendren gone ablaze,
Forsythia with no shame,
wild tulips shrieking red
entice you to the game---
and don't forget the ashphodel
nor lady's slippers too
breath in the greens this morning
as I lightly dance with you.
Now wake you, wake you sleepyhead,
I will not dance alone
and blame me not when we are done,
if I've made your heart my own.
