How Do I Hate Thee, Let Me Count The Ways...
I hate you for the way you look at me and make my heart stop beating
I hate you for the way you are always able to make me laugh - even when I don’t want to
I hate you for the way I cry over romantic movies and love songs thinking of you
I hate you for the way your voice sounds when I lay my head on your chest…and how it makes me want you all over again
I hate you for the way you are constantly surprising me just when I think I know all there is to know about you
I hate you for the way you always know just the right words to say – and how you wait to the last possible moment to say them
I hate you for the way you touch me and how easily you can coax my body to respond
I hate you for the way I always want to be held by you – even when I am angry with you
I hate you for the way you are with my children and for making them adore you
I hate you for the way you sing along with the radio and make me feel like every song you sing is for me
I hate you for the way your hugs make the world seem somehow better in your arms
I hate you for making me believe that true happiness is possible and dreams can come true
But most of all I hate you for making me love you because my heart never stood a chance …
