a poem without a home
...i thought about you today
while peeling blue glittery polish
from my calcium deficient nails
i smiled and you didn't see it
but it gets me through
imbues me with hope
my scope is legendary
can't see the gumdrops
i see the gingerbread house
and like a mouse i nibble
not thinking of the trap
slap some sense into my posture
i could be your girl
but you already lost her in the mall
somewhere in the vicinity of Sears
tears make the fountain blue
but wait for the pink
i think you might be surprised...
