Watching

Sometimes people come into our lives,
And we never know why,
They become friends,
And sometimes even more,
But then one day,
Out of the blue,
They just disappear,
Retreating back into the shadows,
Leaving just as quietly as they came,
It's hard letting go,
When they've become a part of your life,
But if they are the ones stepping out,
Then there's nothing you can do,
But sit back,
And watch..



(If they ever feel like dropping in again,
They know where to find me,
And my heart is always open.)
