Come here love--- sit by me a moment give me your hands so that I can feel you again, and hear the words of my heart. I stood in a sweet wind and it cleaned my spirit, carried it like a silk kite bobbing in the sun and while it left the love intact, it washed away the greedy need, the moon madness, and the anguish of the night, and put to right the balance I upset by trying to live in your skin. I love you. You have that, and all it means but I can feel myself again, and that woman had vanished lost in a dream of longing that stifled hope and numbed the senses from too much feedback, too much stimulus, and not enough time to breath my own air. I am here, with a heart that knows your touch, with a spirit wed to yours that glories in the warm you give--- but I am myself again, something we both needed because you fell in love with me, not the parts of you I simply reflect. So now when I ask you to find me, you can look for a whole woman, not a frightened dazzled child all longing and need, but little love visible. The woman will ask for things the child could not even dream. And she will seem different in ways you cannot imagine now. But she is still me, a woman who loves you, possessed of a new calm, a seperate peace, and a still that came to me as i stood in the sun, put paid to pain and redeemed a woman's heart. |
